Ratu Kadavulevu School Celebrates 100 Years: A Legacy of Excellence

Hundreds of alumni from Ratu Kadavulevu School, along with their families, gathered at Albert Park in Suva to celebrate the school’s centennial anniversary, despite rainy weather.

During the official launch of the celebration on Monday, Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka reflected on the school’s history and its accomplishments over the years. He noted RKS’s notable reputation in Fiji, particularly in sports, excelling in athletics and rugby.

“RKS is the only school to have held the Deans Trophy for six consecutive years, and it has achieved victories across all grades in secondary competition,” Mr. Rabuka stated.

He emphasized that the week-long festivities not only recognized the school’s significant history but also celebrated its impact on individuals, communities, and the nation as a whole.

“I commend the former staff, teachers, and families gathered here today. You have contributed to producing many fine individuals,” the Prime Minister remarked.

Mr. Rabuka expressed his hope that RKS would continue to serve as a source of hope, knowledge, and integrity, fostering citizens who will make meaningful contributions to the nation in the future.
