Rasova’s Legal Battle: Will He Face the Music?

Former parliamentarian Simione Rasova is set to learn on September 6 whether he will face charges in a case against him. He is accused of providing false information regarding his official permanent residence in parliamentary documentation, which resulted in him receiving $21,350 in allowances from July 2019 to April 2020 that he was not entitled to. Mr. Rasova appeared in Suva Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Pulekeria Low yesterday, where his bail was extended.
