Semi Radradra, the centre for the Flying Fijians, may leave his current French Top 14 club, Lyon, during the season to join a team in Japan. The 32-year-old is contracted with LOU until June 2025, but reports indicate that he has received multiple offers from Top League clubs and is expected to accept one.
Despite being in the latter stages of his career, this potential move could be financially beneficial for Radradra. His time at Lyon has been challenging, with only fifteen appearances and one try since joining the club.
In light of Radradra’s possible exit, Lyon is reportedly looking for replacements. They have shown interest in Iosefo Mafi from the Fijian Drua, as well as Toulouse’s Ange Capuozzo and Timoci Tavatavanawai from the Highlanders.
Radradra has played in 20 test matches for the Flying Fijians, including participation in the 2019 Rugby World Cup, and has scored six tries for his national team. His adaptability on the field has allowed him to play in various positions such as wing, centre, and fullback.
