Semi Radradra, the Fijian center currently playing for the French Top 14 club Lyon, may leave the team mid-season to join a franchise in Japan. The 32-year-old is under contract with Lyon until June 2025, but reports from Midi Olympique suggest he has received multiple offers from Top League clubs and is inclined to accept one.
Radradra’s potential move could be one of the most financially rewarding of his career, despite his age. His time at Lyon has been difficult, with only fifteen appearances and one try scored since he joined.
In anticipation of Radradra’s possible exit, Lyon has reportedly started looking for replacements, showing interest in Fijian Drua’s Iosefo Mafi as a potential successor. They have also reached out to Toulouse’s Ange Capuozzo and Timoci Tavatavanawai from the Highlanders.
Throughout his career, Radradra has represented the Flying Fijians in 20 test matches, including participation in the 2019 Rugby World Cup. He has scored six tries for Fiji and has demonstrated versatility by playing in various positions such as wing, center, and fullback.
