Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has urged organizations advocating for the removal of the Speaker of Parliament to review the Constitution. During a recent press conference, he emphasized the importance of understanding the constitutional powers related to the Speaker’s removal.
“Anyone calling for this action should consult their Constitution to grasp who holds the authority to remove the Speaker of Parliament,” he stated.
He reiterated that parliamentary processes are governed by the Constitution and highlighted the necessity of following appropriate legal procedures in such matters.
“We must concentrate on upholding the rule of law and preserving the integrity of our institutions,” Rabuka concluded.
