Rabuka’s Rally: Fijian Students in China Encouraged to Shine

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka met with Fijian expatriates in Beijing last night, primarily consisting of Fijian students studying at various Chinese universities.

Upon his arrival at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, the students warmly welcomed him with traditional greetings. The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to the students for maintaining their culture and customs while being away from home.

He highlighted the importance of education and the significant role students play as ambassadors for Fiji worldwide. “Please don’t worry about us back home, and represent our country with pride. We are advancing and surviving,” he said, encouraging them to focus on their academic pursuits and excel in their studies.

Rabuka acknowledged the challenges of studying abroad and commended the students for their resilience and dedication. “Know that we are here for you, and congratulations on your accomplishments,” he added.

In his closing remarks, Prime Minister Rabuka thanked the Chinese government for its ongoing support of Fijian students’ education and collaboration in other shared interests.
