Rabuka’s Inspiring Message to Fijian Students Abroad

Last night, Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka met with Fijian expatriates, primarily students studying at various universities in China.

Upon his arrival at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Beijing, the students warmly welcomed him with customary gestures.

Following the initial greetings, the Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to the students for maintaining their cultural identity while being far from home.

He emphasized the importance of education and the crucial role these students play as ambassadors of Fiji internationally.

“Do not worry about us back home; represent our country with pride. We are progressing and enduring,” he encouraged. “Focus on your studies and strive for excellence in all your academic pursuits.”

Rabuka recognized the challenges of studying abroad and praised the resilience and dedication of the students.

“Know that we stand with you, and congratulations on your achievements,” he stated.

In his closing remarks, the Prime Minister extended his thanks to the Chinese government for its ongoing support of Fijian students’ education and collaboration in various areas of mutual interest.
