Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has urged students at the Fiji National University to equip themselves with quality education to adapt to societal changes and achieve success in their lives. During his visit to the FNU Nasinu Campus, he highlighted the significance of education in shaping the future for the younger generation.
“You are in an institution of learning, being taught by those who have experienced this journey. Change is inevitable. There is always a way to recover; do not give up, keep pushing forward and aim to graduate,” PM Rabuka advised the students. “Continue striving; you can accomplish great things; the sky is not your limit, but heaven is.”
The Prime Minister was welcomed with a traditional ceremony by the university staff, followed by a presentation from Vice Chancellor Professor Unaisi Nabobo-Baba. In expressing the university’s gratitude, Professor Baba reaffirmed FNU’s dedication to enhancing higher education in Fiji.
“We promise that FNU will align with your ambitions and contribute to the vision of the Fijian Government. At FNU, our focus will be on the Fiji Government’s National Development Plan,” Professor Baba stated to the Prime Minister. “FNU recognizes the direction the Government is taking, and we will share that vision.”
