Rabuka Inspires Fijian Students Abroad: A Call to Excellence

Last night, Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka met with Fijian expatriates, primarily students studying at various universities in China. Upon his arrival at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Beijing, he received a traditional welcome from the students.

After exchanging greetings, the Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to the students for maintaining their cultural identity despite being far from home. He emphasized the importance of education and highlighted the role these students play as ambassadors of Fiji around the globe.

Rabuka encouraged the students not to worry about the situation back home and to represent their country with pride, stating, “We are advancing and surviving.” He urged them to focus on their studies and excel in their academic pursuits.

The Prime Minister recognized the challenges faced by students studying abroad and commended their determination and dedication. “Know that we are here for you and congratulations on your accomplishments,” he said.

In his concluding remarks, Prime Minister Rabuka thanked the Chinese government for its ongoing support for Fijian students’ education and for collaboration in other areas of mutual interest.
