Punjas Group has donated 700 Bodyguard antibacterial cleansing bars to schools in the Western Division. This initiative was announced by Priya Kumar, the quality control manager for Punjas Group, during the Global Handwashing Day event held at Girmit Hall in Lautoka.
The antibacterial cleansing bars are being provided to the Ministry of Health for distribution in schools to foster a local culture of handwashing. Kumar highlighted the importance of this donation as an effective and affordable measure to prevent child mortality and illnesses.
She noted that Ocean Soaps Ltd, a subsidiary of Punjas Group, has been producing a variety of soaps for several years and has established a world-class laboratory and testing facility at its Navutu site in Lautoka that complies with stringent Australian certification standards.
Kumar explained that the company has developed the Bodyguard antibacterial cleansing bars to combat bacteria. These bars feature an effective antibacterial agent along with an antifungal component, making them ideal for enhancing personal hygiene and helping to curb the spread of germs through proper handwashing.
The Global Handwashing Day event was attended by 16 schools in Lautoka, organized by the Ministry of Health and Medical Services.
