The road conditions at the Suva Bus Stand have raised significant concerns among bus operators and pedestrians alike. The increasing number of potholes has made navigation particularly challenging, especially during peak travel hours.

In light of these issues, the Suva City Council (SCC) has emphasized that addressing road repairs is a top priority. Acting Chief Executive Officer Tevita Boseiwaqa stated that the council is in constant contact with the Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) to find a resolution to the problem.

“We are treating this as a priority. We’ve engaged the FRA, and I can assure the public that this will be fixed as soon as possible. The wet weather conditions have contributed significantly to the deterioration of the roads,” Boseiwaqa explained. He reassured residents that repair work would commence once weather conditions improve.

This commitment from the Suva City Council reflects an understanding of the community’s needs and underscores their intention to improve transport conditions in the area. With timely repairs on the horizon, there’s hope for a safer and more efficient transit experience for everyone.

In summary, the Suva Bus Stand’s deteriorating road conditions have prompted urgent attention from local authorities, who are working diligently to resolve the issues, promising repairs once the weather allows. This proactive approach aims to enhance safety and accessibility for all users.
