Local journalist Charles Sumbe from the Vanuatu Broadcasting and Television Corporation has voiced concerns about a potential mass exodus, as many residents contemplate relocating in search of stability. The National Disaster Management Office estimates that it could take up to two years for the CBD to return to normal operations.
