Ratu Vuniyani Navuniuci, the Momo Levu Na Tui Nadi, has strongly criticized Social Democratic Liberal Party (SODELPA) member Seremaia Tuiteci following claims that he and Tui Nawaka Ratu Joeli Bulu are considering joining the party.
In a pointed letter to the media, Ratu Vuniyani asserted, “I categorically deny the unfounded allegations made by Seremaia Tuiteci, President of the SODELPA Ba/West/Yasawa Constituency.” He emphasized that neither he nor Tui Nawaka Ratu Joeli Bulu has ever suggested an intention to shift political affiliations or join SODELPA.
“These claims are entirely false and misleading. Tuiteci’s statements are baseless fabrications designed to distort my position and manipulate public perception for his benefit,” Ratu Vuniyani added.
Both Ratu Vuniyani and Ratu Joeli Bulu are demanding a public apology from Tuiteci for spreading such misinformation and attempting to create division within the communities.
As a traditional leader, Ratu Vuniyani reiterated his commitment to his people and expressed unwavering support for Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka’s leadership. He urged media and the public to disregard the false allegations and prioritize the truth.
“I will continue to fulfill my duty to my people to ensure unity and transparency,” he stated.
