The Police Force has successfully defended their title in the 2024 Vodafone Ratu Sukuna Bowl Competition by narrowly defeating the Army with a score of 20-19 at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva. This victory carries extra significance as it marks the 150th anniversary of the Fiji Police Force.
Coach Solomone Nute praised his players for their unwavering effort and determination, highlighting young Ponipate Tuberi for his exceptional performance, which secured him the man-of-the-match award. On the other hand, Army captain John Muller expressed his disappointment over the loss, recognizing that his team had several opportunities to seize victory.

This event not only illustrates the competitive spirit between the two forces but also celebrates the rich sporting culture in Fiji. With the Police Force’s continued success and the promotion of sportsmanship, there’s a hopeful outlook for future competitions that foster community engagement and healthy rivalry.
In summary, the Police Force not only retained the prestigious Vodafon Ratu Sukuna Bowl but also celebrated a significant milestone in their history, highlighting both athletic prowess and commitment to teamwork.
