A police operation at a 21-year-old man’s residence in Wairuku, Rakiraki, led to the arrest of four individuals, following the discovery of suspected illegal drugs. Executed by the Western Division operations team on Tuesday, the raid uncovered clear plastic bags that contained dried leaves thought to be marijuana, as well as substances believed to be methamphetamine.
In addition to the drugs, authorities seized mobile phones, syringes, packing materials, and both local and foreign currency, which are suspected to be linked to criminal activities. The 21-year-old suspect, along with three others aged 44, 24, and 18, has been taken into custody. The substances have been forwarded for laboratory analysis as the investigation continues.
This incident highlights the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to combat drug-related activities in the region, emphasizing a commitment to community safety.
