In a recent police operation in Wairuku, Rakiraki, authorities executed a raid at the home of a 21-year-old man, resulting in the arrest of four individuals linked to alleged drug-related activities. The raid, carried out by the Western Division operations team on Tuesday, unearthed clear plastic bags containing dried leaves suspected to be marijuana, as well as substances believed to be methamphetamine.
During the operation, law enforcement also confiscated various items, including mobile phones, syringes, packing materials, and both local and foreign currency, all of which are thought to be connected to illicit activities. The arrested individuals include the 21-year-old suspect, alongside three others aged 44, 24, and 18. The authorities have sent the seized substances for laboratory analysis as part of their ongoing investigation.
