The Fiji Police Force today honored senior officers for their dedication and loyalty to service. The officers have remained steadfast and immovable in their commitment to serving the nation over the years.
Acting Commissioner of Police, Juki Fong Chew, presented the medals during a ceremony held in Suva. He remarked that the medals symbolize honor, valor, patience, sacrifice, and most importantly, honesty.
Chew renewed the call for police officers to remain loyal, honest, and professional at all times, emphasizing the importance of serving with integrity. “If we are to be anything in our careers, we should be the beacon of hope and stability, like a lighthouse that not only stands to show the way but to protect,” he said. He added that it is time to advance the organization positively.
He also metaphorically linked lighthouses to a sense of safety and direction, symbolizing the importance of staying on course and making informed decisions during uncertain times.
