In the recent Volleyball competition, the Police Services 2 team triumphed over the Army Services 2, winning two out of three sets. In a thrilling match, the Police Wives also emerged victorious against the Army Wives, clinching three sets out of five.

Mereia Tuisawau, the captain of the Police Wives, shared the challenges her team faced while preparing for the match. She noted, “It was quite a tough journey as most of us would spend our days away from our families, especially since many of us have children, making those periods particularly challenging.”

The team’s coach, Ratu Seremaia Tuinausori, praised the hard work during training that contributed to their success. “All thanks go to God for giving us the energy today to perform in our game. Although the Army Wives had a strong start by winning the first set, we remained hopeful and relied on our training over the past few months,” he stated.

Tuisawau also addressed some of the hurdles they encountered leading up to the game, including player availability issues due to other commitments, such as netball and rugby sevens. Despite these obstacles, she expressed gratitude for the determination and spirit among her teammates.

The Fiji Police Force has shown strong performances in volleyball over the past years and aims to reclaim their title in this year’s tournament, signaling their continued dominance in the sport.

This sporting event highlights the resilience and dedication of the athletes involved, showcasing their ability to overcome personal challenges while striving for excellence in competition.
