Police Blue successfully defended their title at the Fiji Bitter Malake 7s tournament in Rakiraki on Saturday, narrowly defeating Devo Babas 5-0 in an exciting final. The victory earned the team a prize of $6,000.
In the semifinals, Police Blue secured their place in the final by beating Tabadamu 19-7, while Devo Babas advanced after a strong performance against Wardens Gold, winning 17-5.
In other results, the Lilian Amazons took home the Women’s title, and Village Boys triumphed in the U21 category. Sairusi Vunisa from Devo Babas was awarded the Best Player of the Tournament, while Kelerayani Luvu of Lilian Amazons was named the Best Female Player. Joseva Naqarikau from Village Boys received the honor of Best U21 Player.
