Police Blue successfully retained the Fiji Bitter Malake 7s title in Rakiraki on Saturday, defeating Devo Babas 5-0 in a thrilling championship match. The team took home a prize of $6,000.
In earlier rounds, Police Blue triumphed over Tabadamu with a score of 19-7 in the semifinals, while Devo Babas secured a victory against Wardens Gold, winning 17-5.
In other results, the Lilian Amazons claimed the Women’s title and Village Boys emerged victorious in the U21 category. Sairusi Vunisa from Devo Babas was awarded the Best Player of the Tournament, while Kelerayani Luvu from Lilian Amazons was honored as the Best Female Player. Joseva Naqarikau from Village Boys received the Best U21 Player award.
