Police Blue successfully defended their title at the Fiji Bitter Malake 7s competition in Rakiraki on Saturday, defeating Devo Babas with a score of 5-0 in an exciting final. The victorious team took home a prize of $6,000.
In the semifinals, Police Blue triumphed over Tabadamu with a score of 19-7, while Devo Babas dominated Wardens Gold, winning 17-5.
Additionally, the Lilian Amazons secured the Women’s title, and Village Boys emerged as the champions in the U21 category. Sairusi Vunisa from Devo Babas was honored as the Best Player of the Tournament, Kelerayani Luvu of Lilian Amazons received the Best Female Player award, and Joseva Naqarikau of Village Boys was recognized as the Best U21 Player.
