Police Blue successfully defended their title at the Fiji Bitter Malake 7s tournament held in Rakiraki on Saturday, securing a thrilling 5-0 victory over Devo Babas in the final. The police team walked away with a prize of $6,000.
In the semifinals, Police Blue triumphed over Tabadamu with a score of 19-7, while Devo Babas defeated Wardens Gold 17-5.
In other categories, Lilian Amazons claimed the Women’s title, and Village Boys emerged victorious in the U21 grade. Sairusi Vunisa from Devo Babas was named the Best Player of the Tournament, while Kelerayani Luvu from Lilian Amazons took home the Best Female Player award. The Best U21 Player award went to Joseva Naqarikau of Village Boys.
