Police Blue successfully defended their title at the Fiji Bitter Malake 7s in Rakiraki on Saturday, narrowly defeating Devo Babas 5-0 in an exciting final. The victory earned them a prize of $6,000.
In the semifinals, Police Blue triumphed over Tabadamu with a score of 19-7, while Devo Babas defeated Wardens Gold 17-5.
In other results, Lilian Amazons secured the Women’s title, and Village Boys took home the U21 championship. Sairusi Vunisa from Devo Babas was honored as the Best Player of the Tournament, with Kelerayani Luvu of Lilian Amazons recognized as the Best Female Player. The Best U21 Player award went to Joseva Naqarikau of Village Boys.
