Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka urged students at the Fiji National University to equip themselves with quality education to adapt to societal changes and achieve their goals.
During his visit to the FNU Nasinu Campus, Rabuka highlighted the crucial role of education in shaping the future of the youth. He encouraged students not to give up amid challenges, stating, “You are in an institution of learning, you are being taught by people who have gone through this process. Change is natural. There is always a path to recovery; do not give up, keep going and graduate.” He added, “Keep going, you can do it, the sky is not the limit for you but heaven is.”
The Prime Minister received a warm welcome through a traditional ceremony by the university staff, and he was presented to by Vice Chancellor Professor Unaisi Nabobo-Baba.
In her remarks, Professor Nabobo-Baba expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister and reaffirmed the university’s commitment to advancing higher education in Fiji. She stated, “We promise that FNU will move with you and carve a future in the Fijian Government’s vision. At FNU, we will focus on the Fiji Government’s National Development Plan.” She also emphasized that FNU is aligned with the Government’s strategic direction.
