Members of Parliament will soon receive new laptops running Windows 11 Business or Pro, as well as high-end mobile phones, according to tender documents from the Department of Information Technology and Computing Services.
The tender specifies that ITC Services is seeking a reliable supplier for these parliamentary devices, which include 14-inch laptops with pen and touch screen capabilities and a storage capacity of either 512 gigabytes or 1 terabyte. The mobile phones required are described simply as “high-end mobile devices – latest.”
Following a motion passed in Parliament in May by the Special Committee on Emoluments, MPs will be allowed to keep the gadgets provided to them, which include mobile phones, laptops, and iPads.
