Independent parliamentarian Mosese Bulitavu has expressed gratitude to Speaker of the House Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu for allowing him and 16 other former FijiFirst members to retain their seats in Parliament.
“Thank you for your wisdom and decisions over the past few months, which have enabled the 17 of us on this side of Parliament to keep our seats and not vacate them,” Bulitavu said.
“We appreciate your confidence in us, especially considering our party was deregistered and attempted to terminate our membership. I am thankful you listened to our side of the story and, based on various legal opinions, made the decision for us to continue as Members of Parliament without vacating our seats.”
