The Standing Committee on Social Affairs has suggested that Prince Charles Park in Nadi be renamed King Charles Park, according to their review of the Nadi Town Council Annual Report for 2016, which was recently presented in Parliament.
The committee highlighted that the current condition of Prince Charles Park does not align with international standards. They indicated that the council has hired a consultant to assess the overall costs needed for upgrades aimed at enabling the park to host international tournaments.
“The new design of Prince Charles Park should comply with international standards to attract global events and competitions,” the committee stated, adding, “It is recommended that Prince Charles Park be renamed King Charles Park.”
