Pacific Partnership Promotes Sustainable Tourism Growth

The Fijian Cabinet has given its approval for the signing of a Letter of Agreement between the Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) as part of the Governance for Resilient Development in the Pacific Project (Gov4Res).

This agreement will provide the Ministry with essential human resource support from UNDP through the Gov4Res initiative. The collaboration aims to enhance the implementation of significant projects, including the Pilot Tourism Micro and Small Enterprises Fund and the Vanua Levu Tourism Development Programme.

This partnership underscores a shared objective of fostering resilient development across the Pacific, focusing on supporting small businesses and promoting sustainable tourism growth.
