Australian boxer Lachlan O’Shea is set to enter the ring against Fiji’s famous boxing star, Winston Hill, aiming for the prestigious IBO Super Welter Asia Pacific title. The eagerly awaited match is scheduled for tomorrow as part of the South Pacific Boxing Promotion in Nadi.
O’Shea shared his enthusiasm about showcasing his abilities in a beautiful country, highlighting the fantastic atmosphere. He anticipates a tough contest from Hill, who has an impressive resume, including an Olympic background.
“I’m ready to deliver an outstanding performance against Fijian champion Winston Hill, and I’m really looking forward to it,” O’Shea stated. He acknowledged Hill’s toughness, recalling his Olympic experience, and emphasized the seriousness of this fight. “I know he is a great warrior, so I have trained hard to go the distance for 10 rounds with him.”
Focused on delivering a stellar performance, O’Shea is determined to give his all in the ring. “I’m excited to showcase my skills for the full 10 rounds. Unlike previous fights where I’ve had to chase opponents, with Hill, we’ll engage in a war in the ring. It promises to be an exciting match.”
In addition to O’Shea versus Hill, the event will feature three international title bouts and one local title match, marking a historic occurrence in the Pacific region. The international fights include Sebastian Singh facing Tongotongo for the IBO Asia Pacific Cruiserweight title and Ubayd Haider going up against China’s Runqi Zhou for the IBO Asia Pacific Featherweight title. Also, Siliveni Nawai will challenge Jonathan Pedro Hill for the Fijian Super Middleweight title.
