Fiji’s 7s head coach Osea Kolinisau has expressed his gratitude for the extension of his contract for another four years, emphasizing that his commitment to Fiji has always been steadfast. After a period of uncertainty and public speculation regarding his future, Kolinisau reaffirmed his dedication to Fijian rugby.
“My heart has always been with Fiji, and I’ve always wanted Fiji to excel in 7s. I just needed to discuss the arrangements with my wife,” he stated.
Kolinisau also shared insights from previous Olympic experiences, highlighting the significance of mental preparation and game intensity. “There are many lessons learned from the Olympics. It comes down to mentality, and I’ve always believed that. One key takeaway from the Olympics was the intensity of the game. By training harder than the game intensity we experienced in previous series, we were able to elevate our performance, and that’s what we did at the Olympics,” Kolinisau explained.
