The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) has forwarded the investigation file concerning FICAC Commissioner Barbara Malimali to the Director of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) due to the incomplete nature of the investigation.
According to the ODPP, the case was examined by Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions John Rabuku in collaboration with Acting DPP Nancy Tikoisuva. The ODPP has provided recommendations to the CID to finalize the investigation.
Once the CID completes its investigation, the file will be returned to the ODPP for a thorough review of all the evidence. The ODPP will offer an update on the results of the file review once it receives the completed investigation file and determines the next steps.
