The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) has forwarded the investigation file concerning FICAC Commissioner Barbara Malimali to the Director of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) due to the investigation being incomplete.
According to a statement from the ODPP, the issue was examined by Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions, John Rabuku, with input from Acting DPP, Nancy Tikoisuva.
The ODPP has provided recommendations to the CID to finalize the investigation.
Once the investigation concludes, the file will be sent back to the ODPP for a thorough review of the evidence gathered.
The ODPP also stated that updates regarding the results of the file review will be provided after the complete investigation is returned and a conclusion is made.
