Northern Division Cops Crack Down on Drug Crime!

Recent surge operations in the Northern Division have resulted in multiple arrests related to the unlawful possession of illicit drugs. Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations, Livai Driu, announced that these operations have been bolstered by additional personnel from specialized units, including the Police Mobile Force, the Fiji Detector Dog Unit, and the Police Dog Unit.

ACP Driu emphasized the importance of disrupting the drug supply chain, highlighting ongoing efforts that include farm raids, mop-up exercises, and targeting key distributors. He also noted that collaboration and information sharing within the community have played a crucial role in the successful execution of these raids, indicating a growing community commitment to combat drug-related issues.

During the latest operations, five men aged between 20 and 30 were arrested, and authorities also confiscated items believed to have been stolen. Investigations into these matters are ongoing.
