Independent parliamentarian Mosese Bulitavu expressed his gratitude to Speaker of the House Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu for allowing him and his 16 former FijiFirst colleagues to retain their seats in Parliament.
“I would like to thank you for your wisdom and the decisions you’ve made over the past few months that have enabled 17 of us on this side of Parliament to keep our seats and not vacate them,” Bulitavu stated.
“We appreciate your confidence in us, especially since our deregistered party had abandoned us by attempting to terminate us. I thank you for listening to our side of the story and for the decision you reached after seeking various legal opinions, which allowed us to continue as Members of Parliament without losing our seats.”
