In May, the COC provided recommendations to President Ratu Wiliame Katonivere regarding candidates for the positions of Supervisor of Elections, Commissioner of the Fiji Corrections Service, and Auditor-General.

The COC members include Prime Minister Rabuka, Government representative Jon Apted, Cema Bolabola, Leader of Opposition Inia Seruiratu, Opposition representative Tupou Draunidalo, and Attorney-General Graham Leung.

The COC is responsible for advising and recommending appointments to the President for several key positions, including the Chair and members of the Human Rights and Anti-Discrimination Commission, the Electoral Commission, the Supervisor of Elections, Parliament Secretary General, Public Service Commission, Police Commissioner, Fiji Correction Services Commissioner, Republic of Fiji Military Forces Commander, Auditor General, and Reserve Bank Governor.
