Agriculture and Waterways Minister Vatimi Rayalu states that the Prime Minister’s proposal for a government of national unity is ultimately his decision. When questioned about his thoughts on the Prime Minister’s suggestion, Rayalu replied, “We will cross the bridge when we get there.” He emphasized that the decision lies with Mr. Rabuka, saying, “It’s the Prime Minister’s call, right? We will take a cue from what the Prime Minister decides.”
Regarding potential changes in ministerial roles, especially with former FijiFirst MPs now serving as independents and the possibility of their alignment with other parties, Rayalu remains confident in his capabilities. He stated, “I’m a very confident person in my own capabilities, so, whether I am a minister or a backbencher, it doesn’t change the person that I am.”
