National Federation Party (NFP) leader Professor Biman Prasad expressed confidence that the party will be a significant contender in the upcoming election.
During an appearance on The Lens @177, Prof Prasad emphasized the responsibility of the electorate to evaluate which leaders deserve their votes for Parliament.
“As far as I’m concerned, and as far as the government and the NFP are concerned, we have always upheld our principles,” he said. “We have remained steadfast in our commitment to freedom and the interests of the people. Our dedication will continue, whether we are in government or not. People recognize our track record.”
Prof Prasad acknowledged that although there have been periods when the party did not receive wide support, the NFP has endured for more than 60 years.
“It takes something special to survive and grow stronger over such a long time. Therefore, I expect the NFP to be a major force in the next election,” he concluded.
