NFA Employees Celebrate First Pay Raise in Six Years!

The National Fire Authority (NFA) has announced a 20 percent increase in wages and salaries for its operational staff, marking the first pay raise since 2017. Minister for Local Government, Maciu Nalumisa, emphasized the importance of this wage adjustment as a recognition of the valuable contributions made by NFA employees.

Nalumisa stated that this initiative aims to acknowledge the dedication and hard work of the authority’s staff while ensuring they are fairly compensated for their commitment to the NFA’s operational plan. He also mentioned that the government is focused on empowering staff through technical training and development opportunities for firefighters.

Furthermore, the NFA is pursuing strategic partnerships to enhance service delivery, promote knowledge sharing, and enhance technical capabilities.
