He weighed in at 2.85 kilograms.
Despite facing challenges during labor, Ms. Likucokocoko expressed heartfelt gratitude to the midwives and medical staff for their support. “It was a surprise; we did not expect him until January 11, but I thank God for this healthy gift,” she said with joy. In Nadi, Akeneta Ranadi, 29, also welcomed a baby girl at Nadi Hospital, whose birth came as a surprise ahead of her due date of January 8. Describing her son as the perfect gift, Ms. Duavokavoka said, “When I heard his first cry, I felt relief and joy.” Her husband, Seresio Turaganivlau, expressed pride in this moment as a father.
