The Cabinet has given the green light for the fees associated with market stall rentals at the newly opened Nakasi Market, managed by the Nausori Town Council. This significant decision was reached during a cabinet meeting held in Suva yesterday.
This update comes on the heels of previous adjustments made last September for market stalls in other regions, including Levuka, Rakiraki, and Tavua. In addition to the market stall fees, the Cabinet approved revisions to the Public Service Vehicle (PSV) base fees, user-pay public conveniences, and garbage collection services specifically for the communities of Rakiraki and Tavua.
The new fee structures will take effect once the relevant By-laws are published in the gazette, ensuring that all stakeholders have the necessary information.
This development is a key step in streamlining services and improving the operational efficiency of local markets and public services, ultimately benefiting the communities involved. As these changes are implemented, residents can look forward to enhanced market experiences and improved municipal services.
