New Leadership Shakeup: Ro Filipe Tuisawau Takes the Reins in PA Party

The People’s Alliance (PA) party has appointed Ro Filipe Tuisawau as one of its new deputy leaders, succeeding Lynda Tabuya, who was ousted from the position in March. Tabuya’s dismissal was reportedly linked to allegations concerning her involvement in an extramarital affair and a drug-related incident during an official trip to the Parliament of Victoria in Melbourne, Australia, last year. The party’s acting secretary, Sila Balawa, announced that the executive committee sanctioned Ro Filipe’s appointment during a meeting on September 25th. Ro Filipe currently serves as the Minister for Public Works, Transport, and Meteorological Services, and he is also the Leader of Government Business in Parliament. Previously, he held the role of Opposition Whip from 2018 to 2022 under the former administration.
