On the upcoming Vukelulu weekend, a new health center is set to be officially opened in Dago, Nananu, Tailevu, under the leadership of Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka. This initiative comes after the center’s construction began in 2017.
The government of New Zealand has played a significant role in supporting this project, providing funding of $472,895 to enhance the healthcare facilities and services offered at the site.
Approximately 8,000 residents from the areas of Dawasamu, Namena, and Sawakasa in Vualiku and Tailevu will benefit from the healthcare services provided by this new health center.
The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of safeguarding the well-being of citizens and ensuring that residents have access to high-quality healthcare services.
The new facility is also expected to improve healthcare access for students at nearby Ratu Kadavulevu School and Queen Victoria School, as well as other educational institutions in the vicinity.
