New Health Facility Brings Hope to Tailevu Community

The new health facility in Dago, Nananu, Tailevu, was inaugurated this week by Fiji’s Prime Minister, Sitiveni Rabuka. This establishment comes as a result of support from the New Zealand government, which has contributed approximately $472,895 towards enhancing healthcare services and facilities.

Around 8,000 residents from the Dawasamu, Namena, and Sawakasa areas in Vualiku and Tailevu will benefit from this new health center, which aims to provide reliable healthcare services. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of safeguarding community health and improving healthcare access for locals.

This health center is also designed to facilitate better medical services for students from Ratu Kadavulevu School and Queen Victoria School, as well as other educational institutions in the vicinity.

Charlotte Darlow, a representative from the New Zealand government, reiterated their ongoing commitment to support Fiji in improving healthcare service delivery and enhancing the well-being of the community.

The establishment of this health facility marks a significant advancement in promoting accessible healthcare and demonstrates a strong international partnership focused on community health improvement.
