Residents from Dawasamu, Namena, and Sawakasa are marking a joyous milestone with the inauguration of the Dogo Health Center in Nananu, Tailevu, which coincides with the festive celebration of Diwali.
The new health center, valued at $472,895, is set to benefit over 8,000 residents, strategically situated along the route to Natovi Jetty for easy access.
Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka emphasized the New Zealand Government’s dedication to enhancing primary healthcare facilities across Fiji, with a substantial investment anticipated to surpass FJ$ 4 million. This initiative aims to uplift the quality of health services and modernize existing infrastructure throughout the nation.
Planned developments include upgrading the Galoa Nursing Station into a Health Centre, refurbishing the Makoi Health Centre, and implementing various enhancements across multiple healthcare facilities. Additionally, the Prime Minister shared that refurbishment efforts at the Momi Nursing Station are already underway, which will include new nurse housing.
