The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has been commended for its recent initiative, successfully completing two new dormitories for students at Ratu Kadavulevu School. At the inauguration, Aseri Radrodro, the Minister for Education, expressed the government’s appreciation for the $1.1 million refurbishment.

The newly built dormitories, named Bure Cakau and Ma’afu, are designed to house hundreds of students at the school, thanks to the efforts of the Church. The organization has a longstanding history of engaging in educational and humanitarian projects across the Pacific, and this latest undertaking highlights its dedication to the welfare of youth in Fiji.

Radrodro emphasized the vital role of collaborations between the government and private sectors in enhancing educational facilities nationwide. The newly constructed dormitories, which had previously suffered fire damage, now feature modern amenities, including over 140 double bunk beds, accommodating up to 280 students annually.
