The Prime Minister, who also serves as the chairman of the Constitutional Officers Commission, has announced that Rusiate Tudravu will be nominated as the new Commissioner of Police. His official start date is set for February 3, 2025.

During his tenure, he held the position of Deputy Commissioner and acted as the Commissioner of Police for a year when the previous Commissioner, Brig-Gen Qiliho, was studying abroad in the United Kingdom.
