A trade mission from New Caledonia is in Fiji for business meetings and to participate in the 2024 Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association’s HOTEC Trade Show in Denarau, which begins today. The mission, organized by New Caledonia Trade & Invest (NCT&I) in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce of New Caledonia, includes representatives from seven companies interested in exploring business opportunities in Fiji.
French Ambassador to Fiji, Julie Le Saos, welcomed the delegation, noting that some participants have prior experience in Fiji and are looking to establish subsidiaries, while others are visiting for the first time. She highlighted Fiji’s position as a tourism hotspot with significant growth potential.
Le Saos remarked on the large representation from New Caledonia at the hospitality trade show, emphasizing that the event will enable these companies to showcase their brands, broaden their networks, and provide sustainable tourism solutions tailored to the needs of Fiji’s tourism sector. She acknowledged tourism’s role as the largest contributor to Fiji’s economy and expressed that this platform presents an opportunity for these businesses to enhance their presence in the country.
Companies featured at the New Caledonia trade booth include Pacific Plastic Profile (3P), Epureau, CEA, Syrius Solar Industry, Solar NC, Metalco, and Vergnet Pacific. Additionally, NCT&I will represent three companies—Azur Piscines, Sema, and Institute of Quality—who were unable to attend HOTEC 2024.
This marks the second participation of NCT&I with a New Caledonian delegation and booth at HOTEC, following a successful initial event.
