New Ambulances Acquired for Hospitals: Boosting Patient Safety and Transfer Efficiency.

Aspen Medical has acquired two new ambulances to service the Ba and Lautoka hospitals.

The Toyota Land Cruiser Military model ambulances, equipped with a 4.5-litre diesel engine and manual transmission, will ensure the safety of patients and medical teams during transfers between the hospitals.

Barry Herberts, Chief Operations Officer in Fiji, stated, “The ambulances conform to Australian Standards, and both units come with a full range of medical equipment needed on the road during emergencies.”

He added, “While we have brought in our ambulance services, we will continue to work closely with other service providers to cater to the needs of our patients.”

In the first half of this year, a total of 1,065 patients have been transferred between the hospitals.

Aspen Medical Health Care (Fiji) Pte Ltd is a Public-Private Partnership company formed between the Fiji National Provident Fund and Aspen Medical Pty Ltd to manage the Lautoka Hospital and Ba Hospital under a contract with the Government of Fiji.
