Navua, finalists in the Inter District Championship, has secured a place in the upcoming Pacific Community Cup. This marks the first appearance for the team, coached by Saiyad Ali, in a tournament that annually features the top four districts from Fiji.
Navua will compete alongside IDC champions Labasa, National League winners Rewa, and Lautoka, who have won both the Fiji FACT and BOG titles. Lautoka secured 13 points through their victories in the Fiji FACT and BOG, as well as a third-place finish in the DFPL. Labasa earned 11 points after finishing second in the DFPL, making it to the semi-finals of the Fiji FACT, and clinching the FMF IDC 2024.
Rewa qualified by accumulating nine points from their triumph in the DFPL and appearances in the BOG and IDC semi-finals, while Navua earned their spot with eight points after reaching the finals of both the Fiji FACT and FMF IDC.
The tournament will also feature international teams, including the USA All-Stars, AUFFI All-Stars, NZFFI All-Stars, and Auckland All-Stars. This year’s Pacific Community Cup is set to take place at Churchill Park in Lautoka from November 28 to 30, hosted by Australian Fiji Football Incorporated (AUFFI).
