Navua, the finalist of the Inter District Championship, has secured its place in the upcoming Pacific Community Cup. This marks the first time the team, coached by Saiyad Ali, will participate in the tournament, which annually highlights the top four districts in Fiji.
Navua will compete alongside Labasa, the winners of the IDC, Rewa, the National League champions, and Lautoka, which has claimed both the Fiji FACT and BOG titles. Lautoka amassed 13 points by winning the Fiji FACT, BOG, and finishing third in the DFPL, while Labasa gathered 11 points after placing second in the DFPL, reaching the Fiji FACT semifinals, and winning the FMF IDC 2024.
Rewa qualified with nine points by winning the DFPL and also making it to the semifinals of the BOG and IDC. Navua earned their spot with eight points, having reached the finals of both the Fiji FACT and FMF IDC.
The tournament will also feature international teams, including the USA All-Stars, AUFFI All-Stars, NZFFI All-Stars, and Auckland All-Stars. This year’s Pacific Community Cup will be hosted by Australian Fiji Football Incorporated (AUFFI) at Churchill Park in Lautoka, scheduled for November 28 to 30.
